This was a known bug due to sis900 network card (i.e.: not LiveCD-specific), fixed by upgrading linux to 2.6.21.3 in the book. I also upgraded two other packages: Man-Pages and TCL. A LiveCD rebuild just started, please give it 12 hours or so. -- Alexander E.
