Rumor has it that Jeremy Huntwork may have mentioned these words: >... We could use: > > * Maintainers to help build the CDs, correct flaws in the build >scripts, update (and test) existing software included on the CDs
I might be able to do some of this, but keep in mind I'm the Village Idiot [TM] here... ;-) > * Testers to download the isos, run as much of the software on as wide >a range of machines as they can, and report. Yes, please report both >successes and failures I have a AMD Turion Dual Core laptop on order; it should be in next week, and I have a fall/winter part-time job which entails a very large amount of boredom... Once this job kicks in, I'd have 4-5 hours per weekend to put towards this. The job starts up in Sept. and runs thru March/April. The job: I'm the Executive Slider Monkey at the local AM radio station. Yes, the act of inserting local commercials is still accomplished via human intervention instead of computer automation. Push button, Push button, wait 1 or 2 minutes (however long the local break is) push button... twiddle thumbs for 9-15 minutes. Yup. In a nutshell, that's the whole job. Hoo-Doggie! Excitement at it's finest! ;^> > * Editors to help write and maintain documentation for various aspects > of the CDs With a little direction, I could help out with this as well. I'm fairly fluent in Americanized English, but I've had no training in technical writing. >If you could help with any of those aspects, we'd love to hear from you >on the livecd mailing list. I've pretty much been lurking here as well, my life went a little nuts as of late, but with wintertime coming hopefully it will simplify a bit... -- Roger "Merch" Merchberger | "Profile, don't speculate."
