#1756: lfslivecd-x86-6.3-r2032 freezes on boot ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Reporter: kitche | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: highest | Milestone: 6.3 Component: CD | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
As for the lspci output: you have two video cards. The LiveCD is known to activate a random video card in xorg.conf by default in this setup, so you have to edit this file before running "startx". Also, if you use a dual-head setup, could you please confirm or deny the following issue (first noticed on the Xorg development list): "if one of the video cards uses the intel driver, one cannot configure dual-head even by hand, because Xorg crashes when two video drivers are loaded and only one of them (intel) supports RandR-1.2"? -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/ticket/1756#comment:5> LiveCD Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/> Linux From Scratch LiveCD -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/livecd FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
