Comment:

 There were no reports of breakage. Kernels with both CONFIG_BLK_DEV_PIIX=y
 and CONFIG_ATA_PIIX=y (i.e., what the users of LFS are supposed to build)
 assign the same device names as the default LiveCD kernel (confirmed by
 snik), so there is no need to think about the forced migration to libata
 for IDE disks.

 So let's assume that the bug does not exist.
