I've seen the question a few times and the last time I saw it I replied that
you can't boot from USB on a Mac... but I was later corrected... that yes you
can boot from USB on a Mac (See for example -
http://hintsforums.macworld.com/archive/index.php/t-77649.html). I have yet to
run into anyone who knows HOW to do it... and it would be useful if you could
find any product, Linux or not, that will boot from USB on a Mac... to see how
they did it.

Looking at the syslinux website
(http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index.php/The_Syslinux_Project) and looking
over their changelog and also doing a search... there are 0 results found for
both Macintosh and iMac.

Please report what you find out.
