OK, I read the bug comments and tried your workaround (disable sandbox, cups &
restart) but no luck - I still get the same errors (just for clarification: I'm
on an up-to-date RHEL6.2).
I think I'll get a Fedora17 Nightly Build and try it there.

Such errors has been quite frequent in Fedora land recently. The root cause is
apparently not simple, fully understood, and not fully fixed yet, but one
starting point is https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=808795 - other
aspects can be found by following links to other bugs.
A workaround in that case is to disable 'cups' and 'sandbox' and restart.
