This is due to the high CPU usage of ModemManager http://www.databook.bz/?s=modem+manager
and Nepomuk, Strigi and Akonadi http://www.databook.bz/?page_id=3728.
In a regular environment I always disable them. They may be helpful
to some tasks for some users, but not for me and they all really
