You should :-)

Dan, feel free to pencil me in for a talk in Jan or Feb then!

Cheers,

Adrian.

I resemble someone like that :-D
I haven't integrated any of it into libnfc, but have written code to talk to a
couple of RFID/NFC readers from Linux. I'm currently writing some for a third
set of reader hardware, but that's for ESP32 as we're moving away from Linux
for it for now.
Happy to cover some basics and talk through the sort of stuff I've done, if
that's useful?
Yes please Adrian. I know virtually nothing about NFC - and I might not be the
sole occupant of that particular boat - so anything you can share with the
class would be much appreciated :-) I'm not sure why Dan thinks I will have
questions - I tend to be the quiet one :D

Cheers,
Adrian.

If anyone has some knowledge in the area of rfid readers, a talk would be much
appreciated. Things like:

1. Hardware options for the readers themselves
2. Communicating to an rfid reader from a (Linux) pc - if possible
3. Protocol/format options
4. Connecting to an rfid reader over a longer distance (10-50m) - and options -
maybe PoE, or a long serial line, or a wireless protocol
5. Software which can interact with, reprogram or/and read from rfid readers
and write to them.

Just an idea to float around :-)
