Hi all, I am pleased to announce the release of LiVES version 1.4.0. It would be great if people could check it out briefly to make sure it compiles OK.
General notes: - this version adds some support for unicap devices. If you want this, please ensure you have unicap developmment libs installed before compiling. (see http://unicap-imaging.org/) - minimum recommended version of GTK+ is now 2.16 - libweed now has pkg-config files, and the version number has been bumped to 0.4.0 Changelog --------- - Added new encoder formats to x264_encoder (h264/aac/mp4 super high quality) and DivX Plus HD. - Implemented autotransition in multitrack. Auto transition can be set from the Effects menu in multitrack. After that, creating any overlap between video tracks will cause a transition in or transition out. This should save a lot of time when composing in the multitrack window. - Added unicap device support. Should work better for some firewire and webcam devices. - Implemented drag and drop of media files into gui. You can now drag a video clip from the desktop or a file browser onto the LiVES gui, and it will be opened by LiVES. - Updates to x264/blu-ray format. - Added audio caching to jack audio player. jack audio playback has been extensively rewritten - anyone using jack playback is strongly advised to upgrade. - Fixed a possible crash when loading the default keymap. - Fixed crash when recording parameters set from a parameter window. - Removed startup warning for xmms not found. - Set fps default to 25.0 for frei0r sources, use default_fps for others. - Added several new OSC commands.
