Hi all,
over the last few weeks I have been working hard refactoring the
interfce code in LiVES so that it will compile with gtk+ 3.
Part of this has involved rewriting the expose/draw events in
multitrack - I hope I have finally solved the bug about nothing
appearing in the multitrack timeline, which some people have
experienced.

The next release fo LiVES will be a simultaneous release of 2.0.0 -
this will be the basis of the new "development" branch, which may
contain new features for gtk+ 3. Gtk+ 2 will still be supported but
some graphical features may only work with gtk+3.

- along with 1.8.3 - which will be identical to 2.0.0. This will be
the basis of the new "stable" branch. Again this will support gtk+ 2
and 3, but will contain only bugfixes, no new features, so it should
look identical with both gtk+2 and gtk+3.

Regards,
Gabriel.
