I would suspect that performance on a Pi would be unsatisfactory. I find that simple image resolution from the web to be slow and CPU intensive. I cannot imagine trying to render video on it. Certainly things like complex editing of HD video would almost be a non-starter.
I also find that many of the repos tend to contain older code, which means you will want to custom compile the entire install of the supporting components. But I have not actually tried LiVES on a Pi yet so it might work. But I doubt it. David A.
