Hi folks,
since it has been pretty quiet on the mailing list recently, I thought I
would just drop a line to let you all know that the LiVES project is still
a-LiVES !
I am currently taking a well needed vacation for a few weeks, but the next
version of the software (2.10.0) should be ready shortly thereafter. I just
need to finish regression testing a few things, mainly jack support to
ensure everything works right.
The new version has some nice features such as a new lightning fast
transcoding plugin (eliminating the need to decode all frames to disk
before re-encoding) and some slick GUI improvements, such as automatic
resizing depending on the screen resolution, and improvements to the
multitrack window (including a much larger preview area).
There is also a host of bug fixes, such as re-enabling recording from
external audio sources (which was inadvertantly disabled in the last
release), and a bug fix for reloading layouts when starting up in
multitrack mode.
