Welcome to the list.

My experience is that conference calls and open source don't mix all
that well. You tend to get problems with timezones, developers who
don't like being on calls and prefer to work through email, scheduling
conflicts, etc. So people get left out of the discussion which isn't
very democratic.

Interacting primarily through mailing lists seems to smooth out a lot
of this. If that gets too ping-pongey we can organize logged IRC
discussions. So far however, the list seems a workable way to me.

An issue which you may be able to assist with: the Java library needs
a "owner" (maintainer). Since Pramari is using it, perhaps it is in
your interest?

Of course, to make progress at some point decisions must be made. We
can at least start with the discussion. At the end of the day though I
would say that "code talks louder than words." Patches that make sense
for the toolkit will be quickly applied.

Anyway, lets keep ltk related discussion on-list as much as possible.
