Part of the XML file confusions comes from a lack of accepted
terminology for these "things". Here's a list of some of the
terminology that is used on the site and mailing list. Let's try to
agree on one term for each and keep consistent.

Llrp-1x0.xsd - This is the LLRP packet description and the only XML
(XSD) file that a programmer using the toolkit would need. I've heard
this called the "abstract protocol definition" , "Abstract LLRP XSD",
"LLRP Packet XML" or just the "LTK-XML" for short. I'd propose we call
this the "LTK-XML schema".

Llrp-1x0-def.xml - This is the LLRP protocol description, suitable for
code generation or run-time interpretation. We've used terms like "LLRP
Protocol Definition", "LLRP Protocol Description", "LLRP Machine
Description", or "LLRP Protocol XML". I don't have a good proposal for
this one. Any ideas?

Llrpdef.xsdl - this is the LLRP protocol schema description to support
vendor extensions. I've heard this called the "LLRP protocol schema",
the "Machine description Schema", and simply "the schema". I'd propose
we call this the "LTK Extension Schema" since it primary use outside our
development community will be to implement custom extension for use in
the toolkit.

Regards,

Paul
