I noticed that the premerge checks didn't run for very long on this job, so perhaps that explains why I broke the tests last time. Anyway, I went ahead and did a quick scan for stale .rst doc references, found one, and repushed. Earlier I said that GH PR stacks lack auto-merge support, and I think that's correct, but not in the way that I meant it. It seems that I cannot push "squash and merge" *until* required checks pass, I can't even bypass checks.
