Bug ID: 40087
Summary: Clang rejects well-formed C11 program using [*]
Product: clang
Version: trunk
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P
Component: -New Bugs
Assignee: unassignedclangb...@nondot.org
Reporter: anders.granlun...@gmail.com
CC: htmldevelo...@gmail.com, llvm-bugs@lists.llvm.org,
neeil...@live.com, richard-l...@metafoo.co.uk
Conside the following program (prog.c):
void f(int a[sizeof(int [*])]);
int main()
{
}
Compile it with the following command line:
clang prog.c -std=c11 -pedantic-errors
It incorrectly gives the following error:
error: star modifier used outside of function prototype
Compiling the program should give no error since it is well-formed according to
C11.
