points out that llvm-gcc-4.2 doesn't build on MacOSX PowerPC machines. I believe that the gcc-4.2 target-specific code for this environment assumes that gcc's XFloat mode (==128-bit long double) is supported, and makes no provision for the possibility that it isn't. The dependency was introduced in FSF between 4.0 and 4.2. That is, this isn't a recent regression (and the way to fix it, at least the best way if not the quickest, is to implement PPC long double.)
