            Bug ID: 18338
           Summary: Local label in inline assembly
           Product: clang
           Version: trunk
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P
         Component: C++
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
    Classification: Unclassified

The following inline assembly can be complied by MSVC 2010, but not by Clang.

bool asm_inline()
{
  _asm {
    jmp done;
    done:
  }
}

bool asm_inline_1()
{
  _asm {
    jmp done;
    done:
  }
}

Clang produces error:

Debug\test.asm:45:2: error: invalid symbol redefinition
          done:
          ^
Apprantly Clang does't treat the label "done" as local lable. Here's the
assembly code generated by Clang:

"?asm_inline@@YA_NXZ":                  # @"\01?asm_inline@@YA_NXZ"
# BB#0:                                 # %entry
    pushl    %ebp
    movl    %esp, %ebp
    pushl    %esi
    pushl    %eax
    movl    %esp, %esi
    #APP
    .intel_syntax
    jmp done
    done:
    .att_syntax
    #NO_APP
    ud2

    .def     "?asm_inline_1@@YA_NXZ";
    .scl    2;
    .type    32;
    .endef
    .globl    "?asm_inline_1@@YA_NXZ"
    .align    16, 0x90
"?asm_inline_1@@YA_NXZ":                # @"\01?asm_inline_1@@YA_NXZ"
# BB#0:                                 # %entry
    pushl    %ebp
    movl    %esp, %ebp
    pushl    %esi
    pushl    %eax
    movl    %esp, %esi
    #APP
    .intel_syntax
    jmp done
    done:
    .att_syntax
    #NO_APP
    ud2

    .def     _main;
    .scl    2;
    .type    32;
    .endef
    .globl    _main
    .align    16, 0x90
