Actually you do. If you delete a portion of the event editor, it should
prevent any changes during that time, leaving it at whatever the last event
or initial position was. for instance if you dont clear the event editor and
instead just set it to zero, then editing a knob by hand wouldnt work, the
value would always be zero.
