On a similar note, I plan to have the new editors expose a list of
qactions. This way, user-specified shortcuts would be simple. Also, it
would be looser coupling when wiring components together (toolbars, etc)

This is already on my TODO list and I started basic work on a new settings
dialog. If possible stick with something else to avoid duplicate effort.
