hi, I was wondering if LMMS allows MIDI message manupulation in real time.
Basically I have a basic 8 port MIDI to CV converter, Paia Midi2CV8, that I am
using to control an analogue synthesizer. Seeing that reprogramming the
converter requires using an EPROM converter that's out of the question so I
want to expand its functionality/overcome some driver limitations using my
laptop. The way I'm envisioning it is an MOTU Volta-like plug in, in case
you're not familiar with it it's a software plug in that allows users to output
CV messages to an analogue synthesizer.
The basic idea is to manipulate MIDI messages being sent to the midi/cv
converter because it can only convert a finite number of midi messages and add
extra midi traffic to support extra functionalities such as portamento and note
priority. So does LMMS support midi modification on this level in real time or
can this be added into the basic LMMS basic framework?
thanks
