i may have found the solution to your card not being found by LMMS. each time you try incorrectly with the wrong name for the card and restart LMMS, there will be an instance of it hanging (sleeping) on the system. so the solution in my case is to use the system monitor to kill the lmms process each time until you get the right card eg hw:0 hw:0,0 or even hw:CA0106 i suppose this is some type of bug as when you close lmms with dummy audio output it hangs on in the system!
