In your original message you said it was a pointer.  Do you mean a *pointer or 
something completely unrelated to programming?  If it is a corrupted project 
file, that is something else totally different.  the mmpz files are compressed 
mmp files which are XML.  Please be very specific with what you are trying to 
report as a bug.  saying "a bad pointer" suggest you are talking about C++.  
Saying a a mmpz file means you are not talking about a bad pointer, it means 
you are talking about a corrupted mmpz file you downloaded.  You seem to say 
that multiple files you have downloaded from some unnamed source are not 
working correctly.  Is this correct?  Are the downloaded files not working, or 
have you been looking in the source code and found a bad *pointer somewhere?
If the downloaded files are corrupt, where did you get them?  find out EXACTLY 
what EACH one is named that doesn't work, so others can test them (if they are 
on lmms.sourceforge.net) or remove them.
