Ok yeah I see your point. But LMMS has support for a JACK backend, and
isn't it possible to get JACK working on windows as well? And instead of
rendering, songs can be recorded with Jack. Or at least the external parts.

Maybe after it becomes more stable it could be included with a build
flag that only compiles it if Jack support is detected.
