I think this problem would be covered by making connections logarithmic: You 
have a controller and a freq filter. Now you connect them logarithmic, which 
means that the filter has a pre-converter before its input.

Would this solution cover your needs? I think focussing on the connections 
makes us free to implement this for the controllers themselves.

Also, please, others, what do you think?
