Hi, besides being a nice idea, I'm asking my self, whether there is an actual meaningful use case for this? The resulting sound would be completely different for notes at different keys.
When implementing, you would have to take care of the note detuning feature. Also please don't over-complicate things (as discussed in several responses in this thread) - there shouldn't be too much options for the basic instrument filter.
