If you have a USB it might be easier to just test it from a live version
(unless you have a Mac... booting form USB is rather absurdly hard in
most cases, or you computer doesn't support that).
But either way, thanks!!

Not natively at the moment.
I do have several versions in VM I use for testing, but the audio
tends to be the worst part.
I'll get some test results to you mid-week if that's no too late.

It is good to know we have a community willing to help in

Awesome!!
Do you run Ubuntu?
We need some people to test it to make sure everything works fine.
Especially upgrading to the new version.
I have tried installing it on 12.04 32 bit, and installing it on
14.04 64bit.
I haven't tried upgrading yet from one version to this one.
The package didn't build on saucy for some reason....
The package installs just fine. The fancy MIME-type icon shows up
just fine in Unity (I installed the icon in the gnome scalable
MIME-type dir... so not sure if Kubuntu will show it, or
Xubuntu/Lubuntu)
If you could have some people test it, that would be awesome!
here is the ppa I built from the branch I am trying to merge.

If everything goes well for everyone, have them post something on
the bug for the exception freeze. If not, we need to find out
what is wrong quickly.
I don't recommend using it on precise. I'd rather have people use
a VM or a LiveUSB/DVD to test it out in. The images can be found at
http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
I am going to do as much testing as I can, but I'd like other
people to try it out to make sure things like VST work (I am on
64bit) and make sure the 32 bit works fine.
