Hi,

I am a newcomer to this mailing list so I am not yet familiar with the
way you folks are working.
But I am ready to learn :-)

Now down to he subject:
As a long time user of lmms but as a new contributor I would like to
share an idea I had for a while.

Is it possible for lmms to remember its main window geometry (position
and size) from the previous session?
As it is now lmms stubbornly starts up full screen whatever I set in the
window special settings of the window manager (under Ubuntu 12.04 with
Trinty Desktop Environment).
I think this could be a nice-to-have feature since most (Ubuntu)
software I use have the capability to restore its last position and size
from session to session.

As a seasoned C++ developer I think I could do the modification to the
lmms code myself - with the community approval - with a little help to
find my way however.

BUT: I am not set up to ensure the eventual change would work under
Window$ since I stopped using this thing long time ago (for years).

I'm open to ideas and suggestions!

PS1: English is not my mother tongue so pardon me if my wording sounds a
bit alien sometime :-)
PS2: Do not hesitate to correct me if I do not do things your way on
this mailing list. I have used lmms for years and love it so much I
decided to contribute to its glory at my best but I know by experience
that each community has its ways to go.

Kind regards to you all.
