Wikia.com (or similar) could be a viable option.

Pros:
+ lots of good existing infrastructure (adding users etc.)
+ good existing editing tools
+ reasonably secure
+ spam control
+ much less effort from our part
+ cheap/free

Cons:
- ads
- hosting not in our hands
- possible migration issues
- possible migration/other issues in the future, if we need to change
the service provider
- maybe not as much/as precise control as in our own solution
