I still have't seen a strong argument for keeping the old forums.

The #1 reason I'd advocate for it is to keep around old knowledge-base
stuff but from my experience there are very few search terms or problems
that are solved with a link to the forums.

One popular topic seems to be the ASIO4ALL / Windows driver issues. We get
about 2 requests a month about that but that could easily be written into a
github bug report (if not already).

I still vote that we get rid of the old forums and move to someplace new
and the KVR boards would be one less area for us to worry about and is also
the home of the ZynAddSubFX discussion which we rely on heavily.

@oeai,

I like the ideas you've proposed and I'd be a big fan of some form of API
integration with site/github/forums but as you've suggested this could
break down the road (in part, this is what phpNuke aimed to do) but I'm not
volunteering to do the work.

So if we can keep this topic around what we do with the old forums it will
make decisions a bit easier moving forward. As important as it is to
update our front page, get our own hosting, et. al, it doesn't directly
address this topic which is about losing our phpBB forums.
