Although early-on there was a small amount of skepticism on the re-branding
efforts, I think that overall, having an active community is a breath of
fresh air to our user community.

As artists, we just want our creative infrastructure to work... In our
case, the infrastructure is more volatile to change and instability because
our canvas is free. Despite the words "stable" and "RC" in our product, we
operate much more like a non-profit than a commercial organization and I
think our users are starting to understand and that.

What is important to remember, is that in any community, we all need to
pitch in. The problem with pitching in is it takes time, and in many
cases, takes away the free time that inspired the creation and the interest
in the software to begin with. But those that take a selfless approach
know that the work we do put in gets paid forward 10 fold. We still have a
huge need for code involvement. There are simply too many important bugs
and enhancements to tackle. It would be nice if for every 100,000
downloads, we get another Vesa or Lukas that's willing to dive in and
tackle some C++.

Thanks for the positive feedback Stian as well as helping kickstart the
social media element. It's often in hindsight that we start to realize
eachother's worth. I hope those that do contribute do understand their
value, developer or not. :)
