Hi, I'm new round here, so thought i would make a little post. My name is
Dave, but go by the screen name of curlymorphic or studio6plus1. I have had
an interest in programming on a hobbyist level on and off for nearly 30
years but have always done it solo since i left education in 1993. over the
years I have developed small programs for local businesses, a few games,
recently using Unity3d, and over the past 12 months have been writing
Android apps.
I have had an interest in audio production since about 1997, where I
started with a pile of random second hand hardware, and a mate that was
even keener that i was. This soon lead to using cubase vst as a sequencer,
and as things improved, and available space reduced soon moved into the
realms of software only.
I would really like to contribute to lmms where i can, but may need a few
pointers in the ways of open source, and how to code as part of a team, but
I'm a quick learner and Vesa has already kindly helped point me in the
right direction.
My strengths include any back end code, processing data etc, my major
weakness is getting anything visual to look nice.
