What do you do if you have to fade two channels at once? At opposite

Sorry, but I don't see how. If you have 10 controls you're automating
throughout the song, dividing them on automation tracks with one
control/track should only increase maintainability and readability,
since it will be much, much easier to see what automates what.

Per-track automation is something that just has to be done. I don't
think there is even any other DAW that handles automations the way we do
now - almost all other DAWs have one connection for one automation
track. So it's not like this is something out of ordinary. Possibly
it'll make it easier for someone who's used to some other (commercial)
DAW to try out LMMS.
