sorry for the late reply.

All information available about the software architecture can be found
inside the source code and in our GitHub wiki, specifically this page:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/wiki/LMMS-Architecture
I realise this is hardly enough to get a good overview of LMMS's design,
but it's all we've got at this time. Pretty much all of the original
developers have left the project. We greatly appreciate any help
documenting and improving LMMS's architecture.

This mailing list sees almost no activity any more, and I doubt a lot of
the developers even read it. To reach out to the team, it's best to use the
Github issue tracker (https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues) or the Discord
chat (https://lmms.io/chat/).
