Hello LMMS folks, how are you all ? I just started a new career as a high school computer and music teacher in Oakland, California. and I was very excited to see that my students can make beats with LMMS. I'm going to be installing and learning how to make simple beats with our local aspiring beat makers. I'm sure some of them use Logic or whatever at home so hopefully they can help each other as well.
Previously I have worked as a Ruby and Java developer, so I'd like to actually start contributing as well. I have just a semester of cpp experience so I'll need to climb the initial mountain with cpp and gtk. How would you suggest I get up to speed on the technology ? Should I try to make a small hello world with cpp and gtk ? Question, is there a developer guide ? Thanks !
