I've seen more than one case of someone posting about wanting to join development and it has more than 11000 downloads this week only. I've seen some activity on porting the plugins to lv2 over at github. The forum isn't that easy to find and it lacks elementary functions like pm and no moderator around.
New functions and bugfixes wouldn't be my first priority.
