Free Yahoo Groups have moderated controls for access, posting and downloading files, forum with threaded messages, etc. I prefer closed moderated groups versus the open FB model. There are thousands of Yahoo groups running well over ten years successfully, for the most part. Multiple moderators see also possible, and recommended. One possible option.
