Nick,

I could be wrong, but this may be caused by the fact that you are asking
for an exact loop (i.e. 4 bars), but the instrument you are using has not
completed playing yet.

The way FL Studio fixes this is a quick and harmless volume drop at the end
of the loop whether there is something playing or not.

If the instrument you are using supports it, you could use the Envelope to
make sure the instrument is quiet by the end of the measure.

I agree, this is a nice to have, but I want you to understand that there's
a very good chance LMMS is doing exactly as you are asking.
