I notice you have not gotten a response.
I'm not sure who's usually in charge of updating ZynAddSubFX and I'm also
unaware if a new version can be a drop-in-replacement.
What I can recommend is putting a feature request into the tracker until
someone more knowledgeable on the topic responds.
