Yes, ALSA is still required to build and run MusE. The non -A switch simply hides it. Full ALSA may be required, probably not simply the DSSI compatibility package. BTW did you try that package on BSD, Flo? If you recall I said that there's a lot more to actually removing ALSA support and/or making it a compile option. That's a step which will come in due time.
