If the naming choice is between 'native' and 'generic' then 'native' would
have to be the 'native' or proper integrated GUI for that plugin that its
authors likely intend be used and 'generic's appearance might differ
depending on the DAW you run it under, your toolkit and skin prefs etc.

Did you forget or simply not have time to explain the process of automating
VST MIDI params to me or would it not be worth your while as you're working
on fixing muse's VST automation to work more like I'd hope? I hope its the
latter!
