The native VST was a stepping stone to get my feet wet before
 attempting LV2.

There is more to do before we can proceed.
The framework improved but needs more work, as you can see
 we still have no native VST rack plugins yet.

We'll get there hopefully sooner rather than later...

I'm trying to deal with audio/midi controllers right now and hopefully
 clean up some long-time nagging design issues to make it better.
