Not really.
This value is a *strict* number of frames (samples) that must negate
any recorded latency, and it must *not* be touched by anything other
than the user. And it must *not* be affected by tempo and so on.

It will not have any bearing on any further movement operations
such as subticks or item placement.

It will simply be a transparent fixed sample offset applied at the
 SndFile level.
As far as the rest of the app goes, it simply thinks that this is the
 starting position of the wave.

There shouldn't be any issues working with subticks later.

The neat thing is I could embellish the Clip List Editor a wee bit
so that users could load waves there, and drag 'n drop them
 into the canvas.
Later we could add midi clips there too.
You know, like most apps these days which have a handy 'clips' panel.

For a while I had planned to offer re-sampling services in the
Clip List Editor - that is, complete file conversion not real-time.
But that can come later, depending on what features Florian adds.

@Robert: I'm going to go ahead with it locally, shouldn't take too long
and really needs to be done and I don't want to disable anything.
If all goes well, should be ready in a day or so. I'll test it thoroughly.
I hope you can wait a bit.

Thanks.
Tim.
