it seems unnecessary to me to have 2 drum track types when the
difference between them could be handled through an amalgamation of the
feature sets. much neater than having 'old' and 'new' as options. it's
confusing for newbies. there's not much difference anyway is there??
mostly in midi handling... correct me if I'm mistaken here.
