You know, I had all but forgotten it was still there. To my knowledge
it serves no purpose except list wave files. I think Werner started
something modelled after a similar feature in Cubase.. I might be
wrong there, it was very long ago.

Having a repository for waves might be useful, to audition files and
stuff but that would really be a different feature and the clip list.
