Hi,

i've evaluated migrating a bit:

i already have done this with my private repo, this is trivial.

> - file download service (SF)

I would prefer if we could offer downloads from our muse-sequencer.org
site anyway.
But github offers a "release" system which seems to be a proper
replacement for "downloads".

we can migrate them:

https://sourceforge.net/export/ (export as xml)

https://github.com/ttencate/sf2github (referenced by
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2954165/migrate-from-sourceforge-to-github)
(import to github)

we can migrate that including the archives, possibly to gmane. We could
even self-host a mailing list. muse-sequencer.org is capable of doing
this; I am a friend of doing things myself and not depending on 3rd
party service providers (which some day abuse our trust...)

for exporting the archives to a mbox file:
https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Mailing%20list%20archive%20backups%20%28mbox%20files%29

> - forum (SF)

we can export the database, and run a phpBB on muse-sequencer.org.
under the Admin tool for out project, then hosted apps/admin hosted
apps, then select the phpBB forum, (possibly grant admin to yourself
first), then admin, then maintenance. There you can download a database
dump, which can be restored in any other phpBB installation.

> - home page/wiki

lives on muse-sequencer.org anyway.

> - ?

i can't imagine anything else to migrate.

yes we can! :)

Cheers,
