I might want to think before I type... maybe we want to completely quit the user mailing list, of the sake of the forum?
Pro mailing list: - easy to manage for power users - we've got it already Pro forum: - easy to use for the average user - easy search function - better to find on google - postings do not vanish Personally, I think that a forum is our future; but we should ask the users first, right? Of course, we still can use the mail bridge; but it looks a bit hackish, i'm not sure how long it will be mainained, so this feature might vanish some day. Do you agree? (I still think that we should keep lmuse-dev as mailing list) greetings flo Am 08.09.2013 21:57, schrieb Florian Jung: > Hi Robert, hi all, > > I've found a forum2mailinglist bridge here: > https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2099210&start=30 > > I couldn't try it out yet, but the posts say that it works as a > bidirectional bridge between a Forum and a Mailing List; forum postings > are sent out as mail, and incoming mail is posted to the forum. > > I think that we should not offer a support forum AND a support mailing > list, separated from each other; but if we could use the forum with > this mailing list bridge (that one would replace lmuse-user then), I'd > find that pretty cool... > > > What do you think about it?
