Hi Tim, hi Robert,

I'm afraid it actually was. I have not over-dramaticized this nor have I
meant to put pressure on you (I probably have, but this was not my
intention; apologies for that.).

What I wrote is really my opinion about that topic, and it's more than
just "hey, GitHub is much better".

I could write you a huge text about how I see the FLOSS community (it's
more that "open", it's "libre"). Short story: FLOSS requires that
"free/libre" is limited by every actor's common sense (things like
"mutual respect" and the like).
SF.net didn't show this to me, and with what you quoted above, I asked
everyone to show me this respect. If anyone didn't, I won't do anything
to stop him; I'd only be pretty sad about how bad this world has became.

(Gaah, that's so hard to explain in few lines. If you are interested in
an unshortened explanation of my motives, don't hesitate to ask me.)

(And yeah, I posted to -users, because it mainly affects them. And this
single line that was directed to -dev was obviously read by all devs ;))

Thank you, Tim. Again: I did/do not want to force you to GitHub.
I think it's a nice place and it's my clear preference, but in the end,
I don't mind which provider we use. Just let it be not SourceForge any
more. If you don't like GitHub for whatever reason, please tell me now.

Tim, I feel that I actually have worked out this in the past two weeks.
I was in touch with Joachim, Robert (who have agreed with me), and the
GitHub support, and I've done lots of dry-runs.
I would have been very happy if you had also participated in the discussion.

I'm glad that you see it that way, Robert.

If with "SF branches" you mean "branches of the Git repository": yes, of
course! We will push the complete repository, that's very easy with git.
