When you select notes in the piano roll, this delta/absolute button picks 
 whether the adjustment boxes to the right of it (time, length pitch etc)
 show absolute or relative values.

For example in delta mode it lets you adjust the values of several
 selected notes relatively so that it doesn't upset each note's unique offset.
Whereas absolute mode forces all of the notes to any new value you enter -
 each note gets the same value.

The mode tries to be 'smart' at first, automatically picking the mode depending 
 on whether you have just selected one note or more than one note. 
But you can always switch modes at any time.
