Hello.

After Patrick submitted the Roland-SD-50 Instrument Definition File,
I found some time and motivation to do some work.
Thanks to Patrick for shaking the tree, here's what's fallen out:

Instrument Editor is now basically complete !
Added Initialization Sequence editor.
Initialization sequence sysex's can be entered manually or chosen from
pre-defined list using sysex event editor.

Sysex event editor now allows selection from pre-defined Instrument Sysex list.

** Instrument can now be chosen directly from Midi Track Info panel ! **

Added GM2 Instrument Definition File.

MusE now imports GM2 midi files. (Properly selects GM2 instrument.)

Revised and edited Roland SD-50.idf by Patrick (split into GM2/nonGM2).

Fixed several build-system ordering problems. Also some code cleanups, tweaks.

These changes are in the github master now.

Just a quick refresher:

The Instrument Initialization Sequence is sent to the a device to switch it
into an appropriate mode, for example GM or GM2 or XG etc.

It means you have to provide multiple instruments, one for each mode,
because all the patch names and numbers are different in each mode.

If you want an excellent example of how to combine multiple
instruments with these different modes in one .idf file,
 check out Patrick's Roland-SD-50.idf file.

I had forgotten this was even possible!

The only drawback is that if you edit the instrument(s) in the
Instrument Editor, it currently does not put them back into
a single file. But I'm working on that... it should be possible.
-----------------

Lemme know if any trouble.
Cheers. Tim.
